Although I couldn't find the pattern(s) for the exact same snail and duck as is the pictures I posted, I did find some crochet snail patterns on etsy.com:

These are a bit bigger, but if you use a thinner yarn ( size 10 fingering yarn, perhaps), it will probably have a similar size effect.
